Cleaning Machines Save Your Floors
Filed under Home ImprovementOct 29The patronage that polished concrete floors enjoy is no more restricted to business and industry, even the house owners are beginning to develop a preference for these floors. It’s not only because of the stunning looks, but the durability factor too, that is being recognized by the consumers and encouraging its applications.
That having been said polished concrete floors are a finished floor and should be treated as such. They are not impervious to chip-outs and scratches and if not treated with some type of topical polish may be subject to some types of staining.
It is imperative to maintain absolute cleanliness of such floors and the use of walk off mats at all entrances is a step in the right direction. The use of walk off mats proves highly effective in the long run by keeping maintenance to the minimum, as salts and dust are kept away from the floor.
Daily cleaning by a dust mop, preferably a micro-fiber mop, is very helpful to having continually beautiful floors for a long time. At times one may need to use a damp mop that has been dipped in a neutral cleaner that is often available at any janitorial supply or home improvement store, and that’s all that is needed to clean a polished clean floor. The floor may lose its gloss on being treated with an improper cleaning agent.
The floors of a large warehouse or an industrial unit can be effectively cleaned by making use of an buffing machine that saves time. Now we have many manufacturing companies offering buffing pads with a range of different grits ingrained in them. This facilitates a prompt restoration of the original shine of the floor without much effort.
A very positive feature of concrete scrubbing machines is that they are very easy to operate and not too heavy to be carried on back. They are simple to operate and easy to push, requiring very little maintenance: all you need to do is to fill it up with water and chemicals, and drain it out after cleaning.
Only white pads need to be used on an auto scrubber for the purpose of normal cleaning.

Filed under Home ImprovementSep 19The usual features you can find on most floro scrubbers are shampooing, washing, drying and cleaning the floor so you can get the cleanest and brightest flooring ever. These machines perform the same work in minutes that it would normally take hours to do if you were to do it manually. You can now scrub and polish a floor with simple press of a button on this machine. All the scratches and bad marks can be removed from floors by a floor buffer polisher.
All floor buffers have two basic parts:pads that we use to clean, mop and scrub and the tank that is filled with a cleaning solution. The first process using the scrubbing pads is cleaning and polishing, this gives the floor a shiny glaze. The next process is the floor finishing, this provides protection to the floor and helps it resist bruising. The final steps include touch up of scuff marks and scratches, then you finish with the buffing of the floor. If your floor is made of ceramic tile I suggest you use a heavy duty cleaner for best results.
Floor buffers are made by many companies so you can find a lot of different models that have various features and attachments. You will also notice a large variety of prices. Figure out what type of floor you have installed so you can start with proper cleaning. There are surface sealed floors that do not require much maintenance, and if your floor is new, you probably have one of these already. You probably have a penetrating seal treated floor if you have older floor installed. You will need to apply more oils and wax to maintain this type of floor.
For cleaning hardwood floors, in the case of a surface sealed floor, you merely need to mop using a product recommended by your flooring manufacturer. You can use products that do not have any oil, like Oil Soap for example. Use some soap and a damp mop on this type of floor and you will be safe. Since wood floors can be damaged with sitting water, you have to dry the surface completely when you finish your task.
If you have a penetrating seal treated floor, you will not be able to mop with water-based products. Instead, for routine cleanings, you can simply sweep or vacuum your floor. To deep-clean your floors, you will have to strip the old wax and apply the new coating from time to time. You can do this once or twice a year, if you like.
Simply follow the directions from manufacturer and make sure you are using stripper. Allow the hardwood floor to dry and try to ensure proper ventilation. Check what kind of wax can be used on your type of floor, the manufacturer should tell you this. Read the instructions so you can properly apply the number of coats you wish for.
The final – and most important – step is applying a Hoover floor scrubber. Wax has to seal the floor properly and give it a beautiful shine, so you will have to use this process for sure. Lots of folks use floor buffer polisher so they can finish their job much faster and put that beautiful shine on the surface. I think it is very important to know that a new floor bufer machines you buy will pay itself off after you use it for several times.
